Terms and Conditions

TECHNICAL INFORMATION AND GUARANTEE
Subject to terms and conditions set forth herewith, we SLP Industries Sdn. Bhd (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) are guaranteed for (2) years from date of shipments to be of good material and workmanship, free from defects which may render then unserviceable or unfit for the use for which they were manufactured.

STANDARD TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1.  Natural variation in the color, texture or grain pattern of the wood are not to be considered defects.
  2.  Doors must be accorded reasonable treatment by the purchaser and should be stored and hung in dry building and not in damp, moist or freshly plastered areas where the moisture content of the skins may increase abnormally, leading to the development of warp.
  3. The utility or structural strength must not be impaired in the fitting of the door, the application of hardware, or cutting and altering of the door for lights, louvers, panels or any special details
  4. For custom size door, a maximum of 3mm may be trimmed from any edge.
  5. All doors must be hinged with three (3) x 100mm hinges.
  6. Immediately after fitting, and prior to hanging, the entire door including the top edge and bottom edge must received one coat of undercoats and two coats oil based paint, varnish or sealer to prevent absorption of moisture.
  7. All exterior doors exposed to direct sunlight or weather conditions should be finished with light reflective colour.
  8. All HDF Flush Door, Moulded Door, Decorative Safety Door. Engineered Veneer Mould Door and Fire Rated Door shall hung at weather protected area.
  9. All exterior and bath room door must be HMR (High Moisture Resistant) or WP (Waterproof) grade.
  10. Our company will not be held responsible for additional charge of hanging, painting or other charges arising from the replacement of doors.
  11. Our company agrees to repair or replace at its option, unfinished and in the form originally supplied and without charge, any door found to be defective within the meaning of our responsibility.
  12. Our company is not liable to reimburse any purchaser for doors repaired or replaced without prior consent of our company to such repair or replacement.
  13. All sales of products and provision of services to the purchaser by our company are upon terms contained in these Technical Information, Standard Terms and Conditions.
  14. Warp shall be interpreted as meaning cupping / bowing or twisting of doors. It refers to distortion within the door itself and not to its relationship to the jambs or frame in which it is hung. Warp exceeding 5 mm shall be considered a defect.
  15. The warp does not apply to doors that are improperly hung or do not swing freely.
  16. The warp does not apply to the exterior doors, which have been painted, or stained dark colours, which allow the exposed face to lose moisture through the absorption of heat energy.
  17. Our company will accept no responsibility for doors when moisture content of the timber falls below 12% or exceeds 18%.
  18. Our company agrees to repair the defectives includes delamination, warping or abnormal swelling within the meaning of the guarantee

We are continuing to ensure the consistency and durability of every product through step of the process and extensive test. The testing process included: The Cleavage Test, The Slam Test, The Soak Test and Fire Resistant Test

PLEASE NOTE:
In most cases doors are designed and manufactured specifically for a particular country and stockiest and specification will vary from those illustrated. Doors are supplied unfinished and unglazed unless specified.

Due to limitation of printing, the doors and glass colors shown in this brochure cannot be accurately quoted.
